well, i realize that two of my recent resolutions conflict, and thus i am left to choose the more rewarding of the two. namely: to go to bed early or to paint a picture after work each day. hmmm... tonight i made this little 3"x5" cocker spaniel and it is now almost 4am and i've not even begun to brush my teeth or take off my shoes and socks:

the perfectionist in me wants to keep re-working this until it is "perfect" but the "responsible adult" in me is going to try to sleep now.
