...watching 'anne of green gables' on dvd (crushing on gilbert blythe) and crafting, i finally feel alright. seasonal affective disorder has hit me hard of late. i ran a mile today and a mile yesterday, and recently started taking bach's rescue remedy for stress and other essences for feeling blue. i don't know if it is a placebo effect or not (they are the essences from water that was in contact with various plants rather than being an extract of a plant--something to due with the energy of the plant being transferred. it's all very hard to accept rationally), but i do feel an improvement from them immediately upon ingestion. they seem to imbue the water (you put two drops in a small cup of water) with great energy (magic?), and i like to think of this book 'photographing fairies' as i sip them.

also, i re-installed 'stumbleupon' and today found the following inspiring sites through it:

oneword.com
poetc.com
onecaption.com
(3 related collaborative online writing prompts ala exquisite corpse--especially fun is 'onecaption.com' where you write a caption for a cool photo)

futureme.org
(send an email to your future self)

i keep meaning to write about sundance, but due to mild yet dulling depression, have felt overwhelmed at the prospect of summarizing a full week of vacation activities. organizing my thoughts into words has felt more-than daunting. it deserves the effort, but for now i'll just say it was a great time, quite surreal in park city with all the wheeling and dealing L.A. types. roger's premiere went well (sold-out) and the film (moonshine) is a true work of art--beautifully filmed and full of depth--but did not get a distribution deal, alas....
