crafting euphoria

oh my god! we (three dog party) have a featured item (a cute little magnet) on the etsy homepage. i have been feeling really lazy and sluggish in the heat, crafting-wise and in general. i keep thinking about how i need to make more things to sell (especially while etsy is doing its free trial), feeling down on myself for being passive, but lacking the drive to get off of my creative butt. but now i have the impetus--this etsy-land free publicity. tonight after swimming i will screen a bunch of t-shirts and get them up on the site.

but now, despite legs covered in 50+ mosquito bites from the knee down and the hairy black stubble that punctuates them (because shaving over mosquito bites is really just a form of intentional blood-letting), i am going to go swim and dive and escape into the chlorinated pool oasis of suburban shelton. and on the hot rush-hour-traffic car ride there i will eat cold watermelon and listen to magnolia electric company and oh i am so so happy!!!
